On October 18, 2010 in New York, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution entitled, "Sport as a means to promote education, health, development and peace." This resolution confirmed the role of sport as a means and medium of social change. The debate was attended by Mr. Wilfried Lemke, a former football manager in the German Bundesliga who is now the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary General on Sport for Peace and Development.

As WhizzKids United has received a letter of endorsement from Mr. Lemke on behalf of the United Nations, we see this resolution as a global mandate for us to continue working towards our vision of delivering excellence in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment and support to youth through the medium of football.
