KZN Cabinet Representatives visit the Health Academy on Mandela Day

Nelson Mandela's wish for his birthday was that everyone should do something good for someone else. Following this idea, the KZN MEC of Finance, the Honourable Ms. Ina Cronje, came to visit Edendale Hospital and the WKU Health Academy to see how WhizzKids United helps the Edendale communities and to distribute food to the children of our OVC programme.
For the special event we invited a nutritionist to the HA who shared her knowledge about healthy food and assisted in cooking a healthy, nutritious and lekker vegetable soup for the kids.
Afterwards, we distributed some more blankets to our OVCs to keep them warm in the cold winter days. Again, we would like to thank The International Association for Human Values for donating the blankets.
WhizzKids United would like to thank the KZN provincial Cabinet for gracing us with their presence and acknowledging our work in the Edendale community.
We wish a Happy Birthday to Nelson Mandela and a big thank everyone who was involved in the event, which left a lot of smiles in the faces of the children!
